As I look back over my life, there are many days I don’t remember. But one day is seared into my mind as vividly as if I were experiencing it today. That’s the day I found myself face down on a top bunk, wearing an orange jumpsuit that identified me as a prisoner of the Department of Corrections. I was 37 years old.

That was the day my life began, when I stepped through the door to a new way of living—not as I had before, but as a man redeemed, renewed, and restored.
